Going to Hong Kong for 3 days

I will be taking the family to Hong Kong for the second time in 3 years this month for a weekend and a day. Last time we went I picked up my first DSLR, a Nikon D40x but on the last day. All my shots were with a Canon PS A620, the ones of Victoria Harbor at night were either too blurry or too noisy. This time I will be taking my oldest daughter to Disney World, she is just over 3 1/2, and doubt I will get the chance to get away and shoot on my own.

What places should I try to capture this time around, besides family at Disney of course? I have taken a harbor tour before, wife gets sea sick so that is a no go. I have been to the mountain top monastery with the large Buddha, some of the downtown area, the harbor at day and night and just around the shopping areas with my daughter while the wife did the shopping thing.

I don't want to take all my lenses, won't be taking my 150-500 BigmOS, don't know if I should take 3 lenses or 4. Will be taking the 11-16, 35, and maybe the 55-200 and only 1 body, the D90.

Does HK have Disneyland? If my wife finds out we'll be going too. Loved HK 25 years ago and would be good to see it now.

Yep, they have had one for about 10 or more years now, it opened soon after the one in France, which I think is now closed??? Hong Kong is a crazy place to visit photography wise, but not like Shanghai, here in just 5 years the city has changed A LOT. Looking forward to going, just a week and half away now.

Hope the one in france isnt closed, as we're thinking of going there in february

You've got to do the peak just for the touristy fun up there.

I didnt get much time when I went as I was working during the day and going out in the evenings, but we still had a good time. Not much in the way of photos to bring back though unfortunately.

I just had to check, it seems all the protests and financial woes of the mid 1990's is what I was thinking of, the Paris park was renamed when the Euro came out and has since became profitable.

By the way, there is a new Disney in the works for mainland China, here in Shanghai, the site is not yet nailed down but I have heard it will be in Pudong area close to the international airport and ocean view. I just hope it won't be too busy, its a 2 week holiday here and usually places like that are flooded with mainland people making getting around something akin to swimming in a packed sardine can.

Back from trip

I have been back for 2 weeks now and have hacked down 2/3 of my work email inbox, lol! The trip went well, ended up taking only 4 lenses, used all 4, and the speedlight. Tripod came in really handy for the night parade, fireworks, and harbor shots. We got turned around and missed the BIG national holiday fireworks display, a little bummed about that but after another month or so I will have forgotten about it.

Overall captured just over 1,000 shots from Hong Kong and Guangzhou, another 750 from Wuhan China. Having lost my Canon P&S in Wuhan meant the D90 did all the work (except for the video where i used my Canon Elura DV cam). I did over expose or completely miss quite a few parade shots, my flash is too bright in iTTL auto and S mode for some reason??? Anyway, I have lots of shots to keep me busy for months grading, PP, and printing. Did try out Windows PhotoStory2 for my daughter's shots at Disney, pretty cool software, for free anyway, and she likes the presentation. Thanks again all for the help.
